Dentists: Here's How You Select The Right Marketing Team

Here’s something that is bound to show you good results:

For every marketing agency or individual you hire, ask them for a monthly report which details how their efforts helped increase your revenue.

Unfortunately, dentists are so busy working in their business (as opposed to on it) that they hire marketing teams on the basis of the “work” that those teams do.

For example, you might hire someone to run AdWords for you or manage your Facebook page or send out postcards for you or manage your website.

What dentists never ask their marketing people is “How has what you have done in the last month for me helped increase my revenue?”

I can guarantee that once you start asking this question, you will either see a reason to keep your marketing team or decide to let them go.

Let’s dive into it a little deeper.

A dentist hires someone to manage their marketing campaigns on Google AdWords. That person/agency gets paid anywhere between $500 to $2,000 per month for the “work” that they do.

At the end of the month, the person sends the dentist a report saying that “This is the budget that was spent, you received these many clicks and impressions…”

What they never mention is the number of people who booked an appointment through the marketing campaign!

This happens because while almost everyone can set up a Google AdWords campaign, only 2-3 out of 100 “ad specialists” can show results on that ad spend.

Remember, you could be spending $20,000 in advertising every month, but if your marketing team can’t pinpoint the results it is generating for you, there is a good chance that you are losing money.

Action: Whenever you hire a marketing team, ask them to send you a detailed report of how their monthly activities helped increase your revenue.
